OUR BEAVERS
Who We Are
Beavers are the youngest section of the Scouting family, aged 6 - 8 years old.
The Beaver Section was started in 1986, and since then Beaver Scouting has been a major part of the Scout Programme in the United Kingdom, and has a large participation rate across most of the country.
What We Offer
Beaver Scouting is all about having fun, making friends and learning new skills. Young people start to gain some independence while trying out many different activities and experiencing new adventures. The fun includes going on visits, making things, playing games and exploring the world around them.
Beavers follow a Balanced Programme, earning Challenge Awards and Activity Badges, but the most important parts are joining in and trying their best.
Beaver Scout Uniform
Beaver Scouts wear a turquoise sweatshirt with a Group scarf (often called a necker) and a woggle.
